How Many Years A CREWNY Member?
Over a year
2021 CREWNY Role:
Co Vice Chair Membership
I have been a Yankee fan since I was a little girl. My earliest memory as a child is playing with my barbie dolls behind home plate. My father used to quiz me on the roster before the games.
What have you learned about yourself over the past year?
I’ve learned that the human mind knows no bounds in terms of strength and agility. In the early stages of the pandemic, I, like most others, was isolated and fearful as the entire world descended into a state of panic I had never experienced. Our industry was at a virtual standstill and, though I had no insight into the future, I persevered and used the time to learn more about different sectors of the CRE industry. I also learned that displaying these insecurities and being my most authentic self is the best way to interact and relate to my clients and peers.
What about CRE ignites your passion? How about in your current role?
The main driver of my passion for both CRE and my role within it is the incredible city around me. I find nothing more exciting than seeing a monumental building and knowing that I have a part in its history. The energy in NYC is unmatched by any other city in the world.
Who or what inspires you? Why?
My grandfather built over 2000 homes on Long Island. He developed most of Elmont, New York. Additionally, he built apartment buildings in Mineola and Jackson Heights. To this day, my family retains an interest in many of those commercial properties. CRE is in my blood and I keep his passion alive by being a successful woman in this industry.
